The most incredible shoot led by Jo Greenfield in the stunning Lake District shows how embracing our typically British weather can bring a whole set of incredible wedding photos.
You just need to embrace it and enjoy it. Don’t be tempted to stay inside, it’s only abit of rain. Show your fun side, have the best wellies on stand by, tip your toes in the freezing water, snuggle under your favourite blanket and you’ll have a cracking set of photos to look back on in years to come.
Fay and Nath wholeheartedly took on this advice and even laughed about jumping the Lake Rydal.
The shoot was set in the Lake District, which is one of my favourite areas in the UK, the breathtaking landscape, wild weather, deserted moors and quirky little pubs and buildings makes getting wed here the perfect choice for the outdoorsy adventurers.
Styling a low key wedding like this is incredibly fun, on this shoot we had wild flowers from Bluebell & Ivy, a gorgeous white fluffy jumper from Next, a Monsoon skirt - teamed with a few industry professionals such as photography by Jo Greenfield and make up and hair by Kerry Baker - the lack of demanding suppliers makes for a quick and easy wedding plan. Opt for a local pub buffet for your guests and viola, who needs all that fuss eh??!
Jewellery was supplied by myself and I’m of the opinion that “more is more”, stacking rings with a botanical twist make you feel more dressed up and yet still in keeping with the theme.
Don’t be afraid of mixing metals either - who says you can only wear either silver or gold - mix it up ladies!
